About the founder

James Morgan, MSc MBA CPsychol

James founded Morg&Co in 2023 to help management teams in fast-growth companies to achieve growth goals.


His 25 year career combines psychology, strategy consulting, private equity and executive leadership in some of the world's largest companies. He has led successful assignments in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe with well known household brands and startups, across sectors including consumer technology, healthcare, life sciences, hospitality, industrials and financial services.


He holds a doctoral-level qualification in industrial psychology,  and an MBA from INSEAD gained in both France and Singapore. He is fluent in French, German and English. 


When not working with clients, developing high-impact methodologies or  building the Company he can be found on a tennis court, running track or out on the river sculling. 


Morg&Co is a specialist advisory firm that helps owners of fast-growth and turnaround Companies to achieve rapid results through focused leadership, strategic people management and cultures of high performance. It has offices in London UK and Dusseldorf Germany, and works with clients throughout the world.

Our work helps management identify and focus on the priorities that enable growth, pinpoint barriers to execution, and unlock the team's potential to drive high performance as the company moves through stages of growth. 


Strategy

  • What is asked of leadership and organisations is defined by an opportunity's drivers and its business context. Morg&Co combines expertise in strategy and psychology to address the critical human challenges second, by framing the right business questions first.  


  • Our process starts with the opportunity. Alongside the Board and top management, we rapidly develop insights into how the Company's strategy should deliver fundamental objectives, and how organisation structures, ways of working and the Company's human capital enable it. 


  • We work with the Board and management both 1:1 and as a team to clarify how projects connect to deliver Company priorities, and develop insights into how individual leadership challenges will change as the organization expands.  


  • Together, we help evaluate the 'jobs-to-be-done' and clarify the critical outcomes, capabilities, relationships and execution challenges throughout all divisions and functions in the Company. 


  • This process delivers an aligned plan, a connected management team, and provides the 'go-to' map for company goals, communication, performance management and top-team developments. 

Psychology

  • Conditions for success are intensely demanding: expectations are high, financial resources are scarce and time is limited while the managerial challenge changes continually.    Working at the very edge of their capability tests any executive. 


  • Morg&Co helps develop Management Team members to succeed in their roles and prepare the Company for its future. Understanding how their fundamental psychologies and skills can be focused to cope with the jobs-to-be-done enables powerful alignment for optimal performance. 


  • Morg&Co applies doctoral-level psychological expertise in individual assessment and group behaviour to explore and develop the team's ability to anticipate and respond to shocks, and to prepare the Company to lead in its unique and specific, fast-growth environment.  


  • And as the Company grows, we provide insights into the strengths of the succession layer and help  Management and the Board to build a resilient, future-focused  leadership bench. 

Performance
